Fey Handmade

fey clock.jpg

You know I love clocks… all kind of clocks!
This is one here is Kirie, a japanese word for paper cutting art… you can tell that is where the inspiration is coming from. I can see it in my little chalet on the Italian Alps. No, unfortunately I don’t have a chalet on the Italian Alps, but this clock would look awesome in there, trust me!

Trying to work directly and harmoniously with designers and artists, Fey Handmade started in 2008 and many of their items are one of a kind. I particularly love theĀ  cute owl clock and the small, divine homeware, handmade porcelain with an interior colour of your choice.

Have a look at the range, it is truly exquisite and the good news is they deliver everywhere around the world.
Happy shopping!

The company making this beautiful clock is also producing divine homeware, photography and much more.

Papier-Mache

Papier-mache2.jpg

What does papier-mache means you probably all know. As wiki says, papier-mache is a construction material that consists of pieces of paper, sometimes reinforced with textiles, stuck together using a wet paste. Well, this is not that papier-mache, is something a bit more special.

The few pictures you see here are from a beautiful children online magazine that comes out four times a year. Papier-mache started with the first issue May 2009 but you can tell how promising it is and I am absolutely sure it will grow more and more, into something extremely successful!

Have a look, great interviews, photo shoots are amazing, style is divine… such a cleaver group of people behind a project that is free and everyone can enjoy. How fantastic is that?!

Hope you can read the above picture… the girl in black is wearing Gail Sorronda, one of my favourite stylist. I LOVE this magazine!!!

Colour Inspiration: Stripes

Not much to say… I am loving stripes lately!
Generally not on clothes, but I am slowly changing my mind. For now, take a look at these pics (don’t remember where they come from, if you know please email me and will credit them straight away!) and tell me what you think. Would have some stripes in your home?!

Bow… Wow!

moschino-kartell-bow-wow1.jpg

Having a full time job leaves little time to search, write and find the best images for this blog… usually couple of hours after dinner, night and weekends. Therefore, if someone send me a tip on something cool to talk about and to show each and everyone of you, that really makes my day!

Yesterday I got this: plastic ballet flat shoes by Moschino. I think it is quite obvious that I love Moschino… My dad brought back from a work trip in Paris a bottle of Cheap & Chic when I was fifteen, and it was love at first sight (or smell?). And Kartell… well, it is part of my fantasy design since I was very little. Both very long and happy relationships! If you remember, couple of months ago we talked about Mademoiselle Moschino, beautiful armchair by Kartell used in the newly opened Maison Moschino in the bow room.

In 2007, Marc Jacobs had fun designing his own version (Mouse) and this year, at Pitti W woman pre-collection, Moschino presented Bow Wow, colourful and delicate plastic ballet shoes, made of an atoxic and 100% recyclable material, interwoven and finished off with the Italian Maison’s famous signature bow. How can you get them? Well, you need to wait next year… from January 2011 you would be able to buy them in Kartell and Moschino stores. Can you resist till then?
