The Butterfly Song

There are many things that I learnt since I first arrived in Australia… One of them, is that creating decorations for a wedding or styling a spectacular event doesn’t necessarily have to cost a fortune. You can find wonderful little accessories just at Ikea or by one of those $1 shops …and then just add your creativity and patience to put the pieces together!
Style Me Pretty is an amazing blog, they talk about weddings but you can also find bits and pieces of interior design and fashion. Today I really wanted to share this truly spectacular photoshoot. Who knows, maybe it could inspire you too?
Style Me Pretty, provides ideas, suppliers and contacts. Chewing the Cud is the styling company behind the photoshoot and the cake is from Sugar Coat Studio. Enjoy!

Ecostasy

I love finding things created in complete respect for the environment, local culture, arts… For some reason, it makes me remember of my Granny and everything she used to handmake for me. It’s like after years of industrialisation, now there is a need for going back to basics, to the simple life, to all those things needing time, care and devotion.

Ecostasy draws inspiration from nature, uses recycled materials and is environmentally friendly: they seek talents and artists to support and create wealth in their local community..

Imperfection becomes wonder and even the smallest fault, contributes to make every item unique and special.

Shopping with Lilac

Someone once told me this blog is like going shopping with me, see what I like, what I want… nice, I like that!

So I thought, let’s do it… let’s go shopping together! Here below is the photographic list of what I really loved from the latest Fall/Winter fashion weeks, who knows maybe one day I will have them all in my wardrobe!

Blumarine…

Lanvin…

Moschino Cheap&Chic…; (the bag with cats, I want the bag with cats!)

Marc Jacobs

Some lovely Louis Vuitton bag…

Colours from Hermes…

and to complete this first bit, Emilio Pucci.

I know I left someone out but will look into it soon. Meanwhile, you can also have a look at the previous posts at D&G;, Dior e Balmain. Enjoy!

The Road to Marrakesh

There are so many things I would like to do. Not necessarily all of them right now, but… Changing job, apartment, wardrobe, travel the world as much as possible, meeting great people from any backgrounds, and learn, and take pictures of everything along the way.

I know, it may take some time… however, as about that travel the world chapter, I can’t wait for this winter, when long standing wish will come true: Marrakesh.

I am not sure where my passion is coming from, I know it started slowly, and without a particular reason.

Maybe because I anticipate a somewhat sensorial experience: even just by poking around at photos you can smell, see colours, touch fine leathers, fabrics, hear the chaos, the light, the crowd… it seems everything is exploding and each piece will get framed in your memory.
I will post thoughts and episodes when I’ll be back from my trip in July, but to start getting acquainted… just couple of picture!
